I’m Aimee, the founder of Talent Decision Lab.

For 15 years, I’ve worked across talent acquisition, global mobility and talent attraction, spanning agency, RPO and in-house environments. My career has taken me across the talent lifecycle, from early careers and recruiting for experienced professionals, to candidate experience, through to pre-boarding, onboarding, data-led attraction strategy, and leading high-performing teams.

Along the way, I’ve become increasingly interested in what influences the career decisions we make. Because often, the obvious answer isn’t the whole story.

Someone may say they are leaving for a better opportunity when something deeper is influencing that decision. Someone can be doing valuable work and have significant expertise, but still go unrecognised because those around them may not fully understand their role or perspective.

It has shaped the questions I ask about talent, work and organisations, and ultimately led me to create Talent Decision Lab.

My professional experience is supported by a strong academic foundation. I hold an MSc in Strategic Human Resource Management, a BA (Hons) in Business (HRM), and I am a Chartered Manager and CIPD Level 7 qualified.

I am also professionally trained and certified in career coaching, which gives me another perspective on career decision-making. My experience isn’t limited to how organisations attract and hire talent; coaching has given me the opportunity to work with individuals as they think about their own career choices.

I care deeply about employee equity, being understood and creating better experiences for people navigating work and organisations. I also believe that good HR isn’t just about having better processes or sophisticated technology. It is about continuing to understand people, questioning what we think we know and being willing to look a little deeper.

Talent Decision Lab is my space to do just that. And, hopefully, help someone else find the questions they didn’t yet know they needed to ask.

Beyond the obvious. Into the decision.
